Let me start by saying there is no way this list is valid, I'm an adjunct professor, so there has to be a list of way more competent educators of the world of marketing than myself. However, I will take this Apparently, I'm one of the top 16 marketing professors, I won't argue, although I think my students may disagree http://tinyurl.com/klcnfh

Being First Has It's Privledges
Check out this brilliant "website" from an award winning advertising agency not in one of the big markets, but Charlotte, NC. From the video, they seem to do some great work, especially broadcast. Boone Oakley also see to have a stable of experienced veterans steering the ship.
But it is the creative though process of building their "website" on YouTube that garners them national attention. People from all over the country can now appreciate this unique offering of artistic talent, from a company that produces artistic talent for a living. The irony is that through social media, in this case Twitter, I discovered this nugget of brilliance building this site using a staple of that very family of new mediums.
Being the first, to anything, is gold. You receive the most buzz, you are looked upon as innovative and as a creative maven, and this agency nailed it. I'm sure they could have developed a slick website that told their story just like any other mid-sized shop, after all, that's what they are paid for. But would they have a marketer in Buffalo, NY writing about them at midnight if they went that route... highly doubtful. Well played Boone Oakley
